Welmoed Spahr has held several roles in Publishing over the course of the past twenty years. After having focused on Journals and on society partnerships for some time, she currently is a Vice President Books at Springer Nature, where she leads the Computer Science acquisitions team. Based in New York herself, she spends her days working with team members and publishing partners across the world, navigating publishing strategy and AI and its applications, and her weekends enjoying NYC’s museums, sketching, or squeezing in a run in Central Park. She likes her tech cutting-edge and her art supplies old-school! Welmoed holds an LL.M from the University of Amsterdam.
