Susan Reynolds began her publishing career as a production editor for the National Research Council of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. She then moved on to become a development editor with the American Association for the Advancement of Science and began acquiring for their emerging book program. Her acquisitions skills took her on to APA Books with the American Psychological Association where she has grown their psychology list for the past 25 years, focusing primarily on clinical psychology. Her acquisitions include such best sellers and seminal works as Helping Skills, Addressing Cultural Complexities in Practice, and Integrated Behavioral Health in Primary Care, as well as several successful book series, such as Theories of Psychotherapy and reference works, such as the APA Handbook of Clinical Psychology. Although now retired, she continues to serve as a consulting acquisitions editor for APA Books.
Susan received an MA in Anthropology from The George Washington University.
