Jim Ambuske, Ph.D., is a historian of the American Revolution, Scotland, and the British Atlantic world. His research and writing explores the deep connections between America and Scotland during the era of the American Revolution.

Dr. Ambuske is also a digital humanist and podcast producer, serving as writer and narrator of Worlds Turned Upside Down, a multi-season documentary series about the history of the American Revolution, and as executive producer of The Green Tunnel, a podcast about the history of the Appalachian Trail. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia.
