Faith Wilson Stein
Faith Wilson Stein is the senior editor for scholarly titles at Northwestern University Press, where she acquires in philosophy, literary studies, critical ethnic studies, and performance studies, among other areas, and oversees long-running series such as Studies in Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy, Studies in Russian Literature and Theory, FlashPoints, and Critical Insurgencies. She joined NUP in fall 2021 from Stanford University Press, where she was associate editor for literature, philosophy, and religion. In addition to supporting the executive editor for the humanities there, she acquired mainly in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British and US literary studies, political theory, and religious philosophy and managed SUP’s renowned series The Complete Works of Friedrich Nietzsche. Faith has previously been an acquiring editor in Slavic studies and managing editor of the journal Slavic Review. She holds a PhD in comparative literature from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and a BA in comparative literature with a minor in Russian, from the University of California, Berkeley.
